Noel Field

Noel Field (he/him) grew up in Kansas City, MO, and has lived in various parts of Kansas and Missouri. He has been married to his spouse for over 15 years. His journey into LGBTQ+ advocacy began when one of his sons came out as a gay transgender man. This personal experience motivated him to seek opportunities to support the LGBTQ+ community actively. Doubly so since his step-son recently came out as transgender. Even before this, he was committed to LGBTQ+ self-education and advocacy through his role at a state university, where he participated in an institutional program to designate his office spaces as ‘Safe Space’ for LGBTQ+ colleagues.

Currently, Noel is a middle manager in the IT department of a state medical research university. His technical expertise is now being utilized to modernize the work of Saint Joe Pride, where he has been involved since May 2024. Noel's goal is to create a useful and frequented website for the St. Joe LGBTQ+ community and contribute to the success of the St. Joe Pride mission.

Inspired by his son's resilience, Noel is committed to making a positive impact and promoting LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion. His dedication to continuous learning and professional excellence drives his advocacy work, aiming to foster a more inclusive society.
