Saint Joe Pride Spreads Holiday Cheer: Sponsoring Five Families with Adopt-A-Family Christmas

Saint Joseph, MO — In the true spirit of giving and community, Saint Joe Pride is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of five families this holiday season through the AFL-CIO Community Services Agency's Adopt-A-Family Christmas. This milestone is made possible by the generosity of our community, whose donations throughout 2024 have enabled us to extend support and bring holiday joy to these families.  

The Adopt-A-Family Christmas, now in its 40th year, continues to connect adopters with families experiencing financial hardship, offering gifts, food, and essential support to ensure a meaningful holiday season. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity, compassion, and unity within the community we proudly serve.  

“St. Joe Pride board has been adopting families in the St. Joseph area for many years now,” said Kenny Crawford, President of Saint Joe Pride. “We are always excited to be able to give back to our community that continues to support us and the projects we do throughout the years. We couldn't do the things we do without the support of our local and area sponsors and the St. Joseph community.”  

Saint Joe Pride’s involvement includes providing holiday gifts tailored to the unique needs and wishes of each family member, and essential household items to ease financial burdens. This endeavor was made possible through the generosity of local businesses, individual donors, and the tireless efforts of our volunteers.  

As we reflect on the challenges and triumphs of the past year, Saint Joe Pride remains steadfast in its belief that a strong community is built on empathy, action, and shared celebration.
